We were there in 2008 at the resort was in very good shape. We were in 'D' block and the rooms had been recently renovated. Other rooms in 'A' and 'B' blocks were being renovated while we were there.
The resort itself is weel over 50 years old, but was purchased in the early 2000's and has been undergoing upgrades ever since. Parts of the resort were used in the filming of James Bond's "Dr. No", but it has been modernized since then.
The rooms in the Cliffs (C thru G blocks)were completely redone with new bathrooms, windows, doors and new furniture and flat screen HD TV,s within the last 3 years. The furniture is the dark wood variety.
The beachfront suites had a minor redo in the last 18 months which includes, new paint, furniture, drapes, rugs and flat screen TV's As far as the bathrooms they were repaired where needed such as fiztures and tiles that needed to be fixed. They also all have jacuzzi tubs in the bathrooms
