We just got back from CTI May 29 - June 5 2010. We are at the Passionate Level. We received our Repeater's dinner invite, welcome gift and massage vouchers upon check-in. We had to ask for the $75 gift shop credit the next day and received it promptly. We got a call from guest services on the day before we left that our $100 departure check was ready. We did not receive the departure snack pack - they were out of the cooler bags. We did receive a room upgrade, possibly because the resort was only half full? Another surprise bonus we received was champagne and snacks delivered to our room and a call from guest services asking if there was anything else we needed! We were truly pampered. Irie

We did not receive our departure snack while at CSA in
    July 2008.
For our trip to CSA in April 2010, we did receive the departure snack. Our $350 spa credits, $150 gift shop credits, $50 gift shop credit for our Romance Reward level and our t shirts were waiting for us upon arrival. I had registered several months before we arrived. Our t shirts were both smalls, which were too small. I tried to exchange them several times and was told they would be getting more in. On the third try, they exchanged the shirts and upon checking them on the way back to the room I discovered that they were also smalls. We just kept them.
The credits are unbelievably nice to have. I am so spoiled that I would have a hard time going back to not having them.

We have been at pass. level since it started and go every year for 3 weeks. We have never received a room upgrade and have gotten the departure gift only once. Really need work on these areas.

    Hi Sean,
We stayed at CTI along with 6 other couples, all at the Passionate level, and all having completed the pre-check in at least one month prior. We were there the first two weeks of April. Some of the group received their vouchers at check-in, others (including us) did not. We did not receive our champagne and snack until the second day but enjoyed it just the same. Most of our group were called to pick up their departure check but ours still was not available when we left. Our friends were able to get our check before they left and mailed it to us. No depature snack or cooler for any of us and no upgrades. Like I said before, it's not a deal breaker because we love this resort so much but we have to wonder why some get the perks and some don't.

We tried to check in online before we got there but we were out of town and the internet connection we were getting was not good enough. I tried again at three airports on the way there and it just kept timing out. I couldn't even log in.

We were at CSA at the end of April this year and did not get t-shirts, departure snack or champagne for our honeymoon. We were also not allowed to trade places. I asked about all these things but the response I got was either that they would get those things right to us (champagne), that it was not available to us (trading places) and confusion like they had no idea what I was talking about (t-shirts and snack). It was weird because we got the massage gift certificates and repeaters dinner invitation right away when we arrived. It's not like this is a HUGE deal but it is disappointing. It's nice to have things like a shirt or a cooler at home to remind you of your trip, especially when it was from your honeymoon. I was really counting on the snack though. I didn't realize it came in a neat cooler until I got back. We did not have time to get food before we left but I thought we would be ok because of the snack. I wasn't able to get anything to eat or drink until I got to the terminal which was hours later. Since I have some medical conditions that require me to eat regularly I was worried things were going to get really bad when I was waiting in the immigration line. It's not like we are all bent out of shape about it. I don't want to sound like I am complaining about something so small. I will just make sure to bring something with me next time in case they are out of snacks again.

    Hello,
We were at CSA in November 2009. I think we ended up with all of our rewards but the staff acted a little surprised that we asked for our t-shirts. Then the gave us two that were no where near the sizes I registered for. Neither one fit us. We ended up with two men's shirts. We did pre-register. Like the other posters mentioned, the organization and consistency just seemed a little off. Thanks for asking for our opinions. It wasn't the end of the world for us. The massages are my favorite perk. I'd be just as happy with no t-shirt and an hour massage instead . I just felt a little dumb for asking. The staff seemed surprised.

We had a great trip but since you asked for the feedback... we stayed at CSS last December (2009)... no departure cooler with snack and no one seemed to know anything about it. We did pre register and rec'd everything else on the program. I'm obsessed now with just wanting the dang cooler!

We traveled to CTI in Oct 2009, we are at the passionate level. We did not receive a room upgrade (we were in a garden suite). We received our Tshirts when checking in. We received our gift shop credit and massage vouchers the next day after I asked for them. The sparkling wine and cheese/fruit tray were delivered to our room the 3rd night. We did not receive a departure snack or check when checking out (I did not inquire about them).

My husband and I have been to Couples several times and always seem to have issues getting our repeaters perks...except our most recent visit. We stayed at CN April 17-24 and everything was taken care of. We pre-registered prior to the trip and our T-shirt, massage voucher, repeaters dinner info and gift shop voucher were waiting for us. Our departure cooler and snacker were delivered the day before we left. Everything was in order. It was really nice to everything taken care of and not have to ask for our perks. Thank you CN for a great trip!!

    Sean:

    Here's our experience for CSA from Dec 5 - 12, 2009.

On-line, pre-check was completed a couple of weeks prior to trip. We received all resort credit vouchers and invite to the repeaters' dinner when we checked in. We had to ask for our repeaters' sparkling wine and confections after we got to our room and realized we didn't receive it. They were delivered to our room the following day. No big deal. We received the departure gift at check out. We were not eligible for the $100 check, but will be next trip!!!

Seandymon - we stayed at CTI from Feb. 5 - 12, 2010. We are at Passionate level and we did pre-register prior to arriving. We received the sparkling wine and chocolates as requested, but we did not receive the departure pack. When we asked about it as we were waiting for the bus, we were told that the refillable water bottles were the only bottles of water we would be receiving.

@ the original poster, we have not received an upgrade since being at the Passionate level (2 visits..one to CN and one to CTI)

As far as departure snack...it was not there for us last Sept. at CSS when we departed. I simply asked for it. They even held the bus for us til we received it. For the folks who did not get theirs....did you ask? I know some will say "we shouldn't have to"...but everyone has an off morning when they can forget something.

We did the pre-check in last year, July 2009 and everything was great. Like the lunch bag. We have already done the pre check in this year for our 2010 July trip and will post how it went. We expect everything will be fine.

I think pre-check in is the key.

Arriving at CSA next tuesday, June 15 2010. I have pre-registered this evening. We shall see how the process goes next week. I will post or email to Sean what happens. I'm not sure what to expect, we are at the passionate level, but this is the first time we are even looking for any perks. We have always been happy just to be at CSA for a week. That is still the case, but in the interest of doing our part to help work the bugs out of the system we will diligently report the events as concerns the rewards program.

Looking forward to arriving back home soon.

I forgot to mention we also pre-registered about 3 weeks in advance.

We were at CSA in April and preregistered a few weeks before. When we arrived, everything was waiting for us - t-shirts, (one was the wrong size, but they didn't have the correct size in stock), resort and spa credits and repeaters packet. When we checked out, they have us our snack, which was surprised to received, since I had forgotten about it.

Not a RR perk, but I did have to go back down to the office to get a user name/login to use the internet in my room. It would have been nice if that was given at check-in.

Yes, we did ask for our departure cooler/snack... as I said in my post, nobody seemed to know anything about it. All I got was "what?" and "What are you supposed to get?" This is one area that needs some work in the program.

    dirtleg,
Ken and I are also just happy, tickled pink actually, to be there. The perks are just a nice little extra. We would still go even without them.

We were at CTI February 1-10, 2010. Had to ask for all of our perks (Passionate Level). If we hadn't befriended Maxine (lovely lady, sales and guest services manager) we wouldn't have received most items. She expedited our vouchers, as well as our departure check. We did not receive the departure snack though. Shouldn't have to ask, but I guess that is the way this system works. I'm appreciative of the perks, it is a nice touch; however I don't like asking for them. We also did the advanced pre-check in 2 weeks in advance.

We have been upgraded once and not once, since achieving Passionate level. Obviously, it depends on availability. If they can fill the rooms with customers paying full fare, they'll do it. If there are open rooms, you have a good shot. So, if you want a good chance, you need to figure out the "down" season and then hope.

We were at CSA from 4/10/10 - 4/17/10. We did pre-register for the massage oil and candles I think.

We got a welcome packet, but it had t-shirts instead. Since it wasn't what we registered for, the sizes were not ones that fit us (well, my husband's fits me. Mine is a size I haven't worn since the 5th grade). The gift shop credit slip was also missing. We worked with the front desk to get the gift shop certificate. They said they showed it was in there, so they gave us one with "duplicate" written on it. No big deal. Kept meaning to go exchange the shirts, but never got around to it.

Upon departure, we did get the departure bag/snacks, but not the 100.00 check. I didn't bother asking about it because it made me uncomfortable. We did end up getting it in the mail about 2 weeks later. Perhaps that's the norm, I don't know. If so, you should let people know so they don't do what I did and have an inner battle of "do I ask about it? Will I look greedy? I should let them know the program is flawed though. No, I can't do it."

Overall, the rewards are nice, but honestly, if they can't be consistantly managed, then all it does is create expecations that are often not fulfilled. I didn't really care about getting the stuff, but I knew enough to know I was supposed to get it, and it annoyed me a little that I pre-registered for nothing, that we had to make an extra trip about the gift shop credit, and that I was left to wonder about the departure check. Again, all of which, if they did away with, I'd be cool wiht that too...I don't want it to sound like I HAVE to have my stuff.

re: the gift shop credit. When we went to use it we were told that since what we were getting wasn't for the exact amount of the credit, we would have to put the items on my credit card and then hand in the slip at checkout to have the card credited. I am guessing someone's purchase is almost never the exact amount of the credit and 99.99% of the time, the guest has to work it out on departure. If that's the case, why not just do away with the slip and make it all a part of the checkout process?

Should add that we were last at CN in mid-January 2010. Received shirts (although one was the wrong size but easily replaced), coupons for massages, and departure gift. We also received champagne and maybe other stuff. No complaints here!

We have been to CN i think this will be our 6th time. We are at the passionate level. We were offered an upgrade 1 time. Did not take it, we prefer a specific bldg. Waited for a room in that building. We have received our check at departure, t-shirts and other gifts. We have never received water/snack on departure. We did not ask for it, it wasn't a big deal to us. We received everything else. We also go at a pretty popular time and like a very popular building. So the room upgrade, would be nice, but not a necessity. As long as we can get a room in the bldg we like, our check at the end and any resort credits, we are happy. Crap - we are happy just being at CN.
