If you've stayed in a Jr. Ocean Suite, what is your opinion of them?

Our opinion is that they are the most beautiful, spacious, and romantic rooms............ but with a small balcony! But even that, we found to be quite romantic - as we were "close" even when just enjoying a cup of coffee each morning. The bathroom was HUGE - and my husband said, "Yep - I know what I'm gonna be doing when we get home - building you a bathroom like this one!" And that's on the agenda! LOL! I have some pictures I'd be happy to share with you.......... my email is lhornsby@baylandsfcu.org
But the short answer is that they are gorgeous and WELL worth the money! And better yet if you get lucky and have Moveta as your housekeeper. Her spirit will bless your room whether you ever see her or not!

I am glad to know that u both loved the Ocean Jr Suite. My husband & I are staying in one 09/2011 when we come to celebrate our 10 yr. anniversary. We picked that suite for the oceanview, minibar and fridge. Any other information that u have about this suite would be greatly appreciated.

Default Ocean View Jr. Suite - The Way to Go

My wife and I stayed in an Ocean View Jr. Suite July 11-17. It was spacious, comfortable, and had great views of the island. We had a balcony from both the bedroom and bathroom. The mini bar was stocked when we arrived, but we could fill out a card and "customize" it every day.

It was quiet, and a short walk to the beach, dining, the pools and the gym.

We especially liked the jacuzzi in the bathroom.

We were celebrating our 25th anniversary, and this was our first ever vacation away from the kids (the oldest is 21). Although I'm sure that we would have been content in any of the rooms, the Jr. Suite just made things that much more special.

We were in 3406. If you take the virtual tour of the Ocean View Jr. Suite (http://www.couples.com/11or/15accomodationsOR.htm and click on view room), I'm pretty sure that it is 3406 (judging by the layout and the picture on the wall).

We booked in Oct. 2009 for an Ocean Jr suite, requesting based upon the pic on the website. I chose to upgrade as it was our anniversary and loved the balcony from the bathroom with the tub. But... after our arrival, we were escorted to the building w/out an elevator, needing to walk stairs, and tub was in back of the room, no window at all, not in front as website advertised. Requested the other building when making reservation in Oct, 7 months prior. Ultimately, we were disappointed. But, we were upgraded to a 1 room suite with a shower only with a window. I was polite, but it was a gift to my husband to splurge with the room I saw on the website. I surprised him on the plane ride down, we were so excited to see the room, but I was devastated when we saw what we reserved was not as pic described. After our visit I saw on this board, no more exceptions, you get what you get when you get here. I think they should put in a disclosure that room may be different than seen on website. As far as the drinks go, we do not drink alcohol, so asked for more soda instead of any alcohol. If it were me, I would go with an oceanview, but don't splurge on the Ocean Jr Suite. In all fairness, they did make things as right as they could, but with my persistence. The rest of the stay was great.
