Default what can we plug in?

Question to all of you who are frequent visitors to Jamaica, I was planning on bringing my flat iron and I wanted to check and see if I needed to bring a converter or anything like that. I don't think I do but I wanted to check first.
    Thanks :-)

    From the FAQs:

What electrical current is used in Jamaica?

It's 110 volts, 50 cycles US & Canadian electrical devices will work.

I know everything, and I'm always right (just ask my husband).

Nope, No converter necessary, but I would bring a power strip for extra plugs, there are not enough after I bring my lap top, 2 camera's and my MP3 player....

Good luck with keeping your hair styled with a straight iron... I tried that too and after one day I gave up and put it in a pony tail!
