Thread: Buying wedding dresses online

Hi there,
I'm just starting my search for a dress for a Feb. wedding. As I'm barely wearing it for more than a few hours, I don't want to spend a fortune and am considering ordering online.

Anyone have any experience with this? Positive? Negative?

I tried looking online initially and only really found one dress I liked. When I went dress shopping I didn't like the one I thought I would get and fell for a dress that I not only didn't like on the internet, but also disliked on the hanger - it was only my mum pushing me to "at least try something on" that meant I found my dress

I guess the moral to the story is that things can look very different on a computer screen and in real life!

I just recieved my weddingdress. I bought it online via ebay. It was made in China.
From the day I ordered until it reached me in germany, it took on 3 weeks.
Look at the photos:
Only the petticoat ist still missing and I should iron it.

Because I was not sure I ordered an other second dress, that might come the next 4 weeks...

The price for this dress was about $150us.

Another forum I am on, there is an entire topic on just that. Its pretty mixed, some are so happy with their dresses, while others are disappointed. Some just need a minor little alteration. But really the dresses are so reasonable I can't see you going wrong buying online.

They use Landy bridal and giannar I am not sure of the spelling, but I will find out for you what sites they use!

I just bought my dress on-line from Nordstroms. I love it! It was $200 and needs minor alterations. I'm not an on-line buyer but if you buy through reputable companies, returns are no problem (only sad because you didn't find "the" dress.) My dress even came with a postage paid return sticker. One tip: most on-line shopping now have "reviews" with the dress. The reviews were invaluable!

I bought my dress online and I love it I also needed a few minor alterations....but paying $250.00 versus $1200.00 for a few hours in the beach seemed to make much more sense to me! Good Luck!!

The first one costs about $628us
and the other one $1599us.
Can´t believe that I had to pay so much less....
