    Default Ceremony on public beach

My future husband and I are getting legally married in the United States and then having our real ceremony in Jamaica. We would take care of the arrangements ourselves; the ceremony would not be coordinated through Couples Negril. We researched this option, but the resort was inflexible on a few things that we asked about. Since the ceremony truly has no legal meaning in Jamaica, we figured it would be easier to quietly do it ourselves.

Do you think anyone would mind if we had a small, short ceremony (8 guests, including our minister) on the beach around sunset?

We had discussed walking down past the hotel next door to a more secluded part of the beach. A friend pointed out that 7 mile beach is public and thought moving off-resort wasn't really necessary. What do you think?

    Wouldn't bother us a bit......

Call and ask.... if everyone is staying at the resort I dont see why it would be a problem, if not security keeps non- guest moving along the waters edge.
