Thread: Hard Rock/80's Hair Band Ballads for Wedding Music--Anyone Else?

As teenagers of the mid to late 80's (he just turned 41 and I'll be 39 next month), we LOVE rock ballads from the 80's-early 90's and plan to play them for our wedding music. We actually have an iPod playlist with rock ballads that remind of each other--probably corny, I know. LOL

Here is what we are thinking:

1st dance will almost certainly be Foreigner, I Want to Know What Love Is

Walking down the isle choices:
Bad English, When I See You Smile (We're leaning toward this one.)
Firehouse, When I Look Into Your Eyes

For the kiss and walking back down the isle:
Steelheart, I'll Never Let You Go (Angel Eyes)

Others that we love and would like to include:
Sheriff, When I'm With You
Goo Goo Dolls, Iris (Might use Ryan Star singing it though because I LOVE his voice.)

We are doing mostly country but we do have a few Journey songs! I think its awesome you guys are doing 80's ballads!

I LOVE November Rain magpie!! I've seen GNR in concert probably a half dozen times. :-) We thought about playing Patience because the first 2.5 years of our relationship was long distance (Indiana to Maryland).

We used quite a few such as Sheriff-When I'm with you, a couple Journey songs and Bryan Adams. They used all of them!! It was awesome and very "us" The people from the photo place loved them too, they said people always pick the same stuff, not us!!

Oh no...I forgot about Byan Adams!!
