Thread: Song for Wedding

Hello folks...
Maybe someone can tell me, how many songs and what they are for when you get married... We are going to CSA last part of june and would like to know how many songs are needed during the wedding..
It has probably been posted before, but I can't seem to find it... Thanks for any and all help and hope to see some of you there....

I read an old post but it has been a while. past brides suggested 5 songs. One for seating if you have other guests,one for walking down the aisle, one for after you kiss and walk back down the aisle, one for the cake cutting/toast, and a first dance song. I wish I knew what that old thread was called? Anyway I get married in Nov and that is what we have gone by and chose. Hope it helps some. No matter what only you have to like it!

I just finished up our wedding CD last night and I ended up with about 8 songs. I figured if that is too many we can just listen to the CD until everything is over and done with.

i just got married at CSA. I had 5 songs and she only played 3. one to walk, one to say man and wife and one to sign papers. No music was played during cake and no dance was offered.

From what I've read on the board thus far if you'd like a first dance (and song) you're supposed to let the wedding coordinator know at your meeting w her the day before the wedding.

Wow, it's good to know that I have to let the coordinator know ahead of time! I would have just assumed it was a part of it!

Can you have a seperate song for the Bridesmaids and yourself? I was hoping to have a guest seating song, bridesmaid entering song, a song for me walking down the aisle and then a song after we kiss and walk back down. So 4 total...

Our wedding coordinator suggested 10 the day before we got married, so we burnt a cd in the room. It really helped because we had a hard time narrowing it down, they used all of them in the video it was absolutely amazing!

Debbie the Stateside coordinator told me we needed 3 songs. One before the ceremony, one to walk down the aisle and one to finish the ceremony.

We are adding a couple more just in case for our cake and first dance. Plus we are purchasing the videography package and I think they need songs for that too correct?

Yes, they will only use 3 for the actual wedding, Procession, 1st kiss, dance. The rest they will use on the video, but they do let the whole thing play while you are taking pictures and cutting the cake and such it was very romantic and personable!
