Thread: Vow Renewal Questions

We will be returning to CTI in November and think it will be an excellent occasion for us to renew our vows. I've found lot's of information on the message board and website, but hope someone who's already done this can help by filling in the gaps.

1. From the website, it looks like you select from one of the wedding packages ( i.e. "One Love", "Tropical", etc). Am I correct in thinking the items listed within the package (example below) are also given with the vow renewal package?

One Love Package Includes:
Bridal Bouquet and matching Groom's Boutonniere of purple or white Dendrobium Orchids
Bottle of Sparkling Wine
Cake decorated with a Dendrobium Orchid
25 Minute Couples Massage
Two Couples Resorts Champagne Flutes
“Just Married” T-shirts for Bride and Groom

2. I've never attended a vow renewal ceremony; are there specific vows that you state (like a wedding), or, do we simply say what we wish?

3. Any suggestions on locations to hold this at CTI? There will only be the two of us (no guests) and we'd like to keep this a romantic and intimate ceremony.

I'd also enjoy hearing any other feedback or suggestions from couples who've done this.

I haven't done the renewal, but the packages are similar (possibly identical.) Keep in mind the wedding policies still apply -- the resort minister will perform your ceremony, and you have to be there 72 hours prior to the ceremony.

From the home page, click on the link for "Weddings and Honeymoons," then click on "Renewal of Vows." That will bring up the vow renewal packages and prices.
