Greetings to all:
As we say goodbye to 2007 and welcome a New Year, I would like to send a special thank you to our Couples Family – valued repeat guests, first-timers and staff – for making 2007 another rewarding and successful year.
In the New Year we are looking forward to celebrating our 30th Anniversary at Couples Ocho Rios on Saturday, January 19, 2008. We will be announcing some exciting news about our Grand Lady during the party. Stay tuned.
We are all very proud of the prestigious awards we received
in 2007. Couples Swept Away and Couples Sans Souci’s received Conde Nast Travelers’ Readers Choice Awards and Couples Negril’s and Couples Sans Souci received Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at each resort for making Couples Resorts the best all-inclusive company in the Caribbean and to all of you who voted for us.
We are expanding as a company and working hard to give you the best vacation experience possible. We’ve revamped our website and Romance Rewards Program and also introduced RSS feeds and CouplesLiving.com - the online store where the resorts’ signature line of classic, casual apparel and accessories are available. We also launched
“Weddings by Couples” and our Stateside Wedding Department to facilitate the ease of making all your weddings dreams a reality. In 2008 we will also introduce new innovations to the message board, including a place for you to post your pictures and videos. Hmmm, sounds like a contest is brewing J.
In an effort to make Couples Resorts even better for our valued guests, Couples Sans Souci “The Jewel of Jamaica” underwent several phases of renovations in 2007 and Couples Negril expanded its fine dining options by welcoming a new restaurant, Lychee - offering a delectable Asian Fusion menu.
While I’m on the topic of expansions, I’d like to send out a big welcome to the new additions/changes to our team:
- Andrea Conway – Director of Marketing
**Andrea recently had an addition of her own, Zachary Dean Washington, born on December 7th. Congrats Andi!
- Sharie Gordon - Customer Relations Manager
- Michael Tighe – Ambassador of Romance and Business Development Manager for the Northeast
- Suzanne Rodgers –Ambassador of Romance and Business Development Manager for the South
- Michele Herron - Penn – Ambassador of Romance and Business Development Manager for the Midwest

- Darin Meder - Ambassador of Romance and National Account Manager
We’ve got so many new initiatives and value added options in the pipeline for 2008 and I look forward to bring you more good news in the next edition.
