Guest Spotlight: The Cox Family

Hi Couples family,

This month we are featuring Aaron and Debbie Cox from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada as our guest spotlight for December.

Hope you enjoy this wonderful couple's story!

Carrie: How many times have you been to Couples Resorts, and which properties?
The Cox family: We have been to Couples 9 times. 9th trip started just a few weeks ago on Nov 28. 6 trips to CSA (68 nights) and 2 trips to CTI for (11 nights)

Carrie: How has Couples played a role in your personal love story?
The Cox family: It is a time where it is all about US and no schedules or kids fighting. Children were in the picture before we met. We wouldn't change a thing but this gives us alone time to focus on just us and relive the honeymoon phase each trip.

Carrie: What are the top three pieces of advice you would give to a first-time guest at Couples?
The Cox family: Don't try and do everything your first trip. Go with the flow so you don't need a vacation from your vacation (you will be back to try the things you didn't get a chance to do). Get to know the Jamaicans and show respect. It goes a long way. Don't ignore someone if you don't want to buy their wares, a simple "no thanks mon" with a fist pump is all you need to say. For activities on your first trip, the catamaran and steel drums are a must.

Carrie: In your opinion, what makes Couples so unique?
The Cox family: The service we are given is like no other. We are not just a room number. We are remembered by name year after year by more and more people. They serve thousands and thousands of people each year and they amaze us with their ability to remember so many guests.

Carrie: In a single word, describe what Couples means to the two of you.
The Cox family: Paradise

Carrie: Which staff members or fellow guests do you most look forward to seeing when you return?
The Cox family: Ultimate Chocolate, Cecil the photographer, Alecia (restaurants), Stacy Ann (restaurants) Curtis (bars), Ralston (security) Skippy, Dale (concierge), Rochelle (housekeeping), Ruel (bar), Mai (bar), Marlene (bar), Konrad Malcom (OM), Michelle Gordon, Shelly Anne Simpson. These are just a handful of the amazing staff that work for Couples and have made our stays at Couples even more enjoyable. As well as our friends Bob and Nancy Caskey who we met at CTI in 2012 and they have joined us every year since at CSA. As well as many other repeaters that always go around the same time as us.

Carrie: Fill in the blank: Our ideal day at Couples consists of _______________
The Cox family: Coffee and tea on the Verandah, followed by some exercise at the sports facility, followed by lots of delicious food, frozen cocktails, swim up bar and walks down the beach.
