Terms & Conditions
**Only Romance Rewards members who have an active account upon arrival at the resort are eligible. As it may take several days for a new Romance Rewards member account to be activated, we recommend signing up a week prior to arrival. In Negril, Trading Places is available between Couples Swept Away and Couples Negril only. In Ocho Rios, Trading Places is extended between Couples Sans Souci and Couples Tower Isle only. Guests must sign up for Trading Places at Guest Relations 24 hours in advance. Space is limited. Complimentary transfers from the resort of booking to the nearby resort will depart in the mornings (times vary by resort) and will depart from the nearby resort back to the guest's resort at 4:00 pm. Should a guest decide to leave the nearby resort before 4:00 pm, transfer costs will be at the guest's expense. If a guest misses the 4:00 pm transfer, the nearby resort reserves the right to charge the current day pass rate. Activities at the nearby resort that require reservations such as excursions and scuba are not part of the day pass privilege. Spa facilities may be utilized subject to availability; however, no coupons or credits from the guest's resort may be used at the nearby resort.
Before You Go
A VALID PASSPORT IS REQUIRED FOR TRAVEL
Please check in advance that your passport has not expired. Due to the lengthy airport security and scanning procedures, international airport check-in is recommended at least 2 hours prior to departure time. This applies even if you have used the online check-in. Most airlines charge for checked-baggage.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT
All passengers are required to complete an online passenger declaration form. The online form is conveniently available at https://www.enterjamaica.gov.jm/. It is essential to complete the form ahead of time, to ensure a smooth and hassle-free entry into Jamaica.
COUPLES RESORTS LOUNGE
Upon arrival in Jamaica and clearing the customs hall, please proceed and turn LEFT at the auto doors to the COUPLES RESORTS LOUNGE and give them your name. The lounge is open as long as flights are arriving. Our staff offer complimentary refreshments and guide you to the complimentary shuttle.
JOURNEY TIME
The journey time is approximately 80 minutes to Couples Swept Away and Couples Negril. It is approximately 105 minutes to Couples Sans Souci and Couples Tower Isle. There will be a rest stop offered, if needed, en route to our adult-only resorts in Jamaica.
OFFICIAL CHECK-IN
Upon arrival at Couples, official check-in is at 4 pm / checkout is 11 am. If your room is not ready upon arrival, you can leave your luggage with concierge and proceed to enjoy all resort facilities until your room is ready.
ON FILE
You will need your passport and a credit card on file to check-in. A pre-authorization is taken for $300 per room.
EXCURSIONS AND OFF SITE ACTIVITIES
Excursions and off site activities can be reserved once at the resort with the tour desk.
PAYMENTS
US dollars are accepted as payment all over Jamaica. If you are using a credit/debit card, please contact your provider before you leave the US to advise you will be in Jamaica. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
DEBIT CARDS
Debit cards can also be used, but your bank may charge you extra International fees. Tell them you are traveling overseas.
ELECTRICAL OUTLETS
Electrical outlets are the same as US, and no adaptors are needed.
SAFES
Safes are available to secure valuables in your room.
TIPPING
Tipping is not required and is strictly forbidden. We do suggest tipping for airport transfer services as they are intermediary and are not employed by Couples Resorts.*
REPELLANT
Repellant is recommended as we are located in the Tropics.
FINE DINING
Collared shirt and full length pants or dress jeans are required for gents in our fine dining restaurant. Flip flops and tattered jeans are not allowed.**
